MG Car Club to exhibit at Race Retro this weekend

The MG Car Club will showcase its motorsport credentials at the Race Retro event this weekend, held at Stoneleigh Park from Friday 23rd February to Sunday 25th February.

The Club will once again be promoting its seven race championships at the show. As well as the various race co-ordinators, the Club’s head-turning display will also host the MG K1 Monoposto of Malcolm Hills and the MG Midget of Andy McGee. The display can be found in Hall 2, stand 1-310.

With a commitment to low-cost entry fees, the MG Car Club gives potential drivers the opportunity of racing across the UK at iconic venues including the Silverstone Historic GP circuit and Oulton Park in MG Metros, MG ZRs, MG Midgets and MGBs. In addition, all competitors can achieve race entry discounts by competing in all championship rounds.

After launching an initiative for 16-21-year-olds last year, the Club is pleased to reveal that the age bracket has been extended for 2018, meaning young racers up to the age of 25 can benefit from racing with the Club for just £6000 – a fee that includes the price of a car, race preparation, and half-price entry fees.

The Club is keen to encourage the next generation of drivers to follow in the footsteps of previously successful MGCC drivers, like Jack Goff, who have since progressed into the British Touring Car Championship.

With an amazing history and mentoring from Championship co-ordinators alongside a brilliant paddock atmosphere and camaraderie, MG Car Club racing offers a unique package for drivers looking to kick-start their career in motorsport.

Tickets for the show can be bought at the gate, with prices at £20 for adults and £5 for children. For more information about the event, click HERE to be redirected to the Race Retro website. We look forward to seeing you there!
