The 18th running of our annual Tyne-Tees Centre Old Speckled Hen Run, supported by Damm UK will have a new base for the day, with Lanchester Garden Centre playing host to our start and finish.
With a dedicated parking area secured in their car park, entrants will also have exclusive use of the ‘Hive’ function room to facilitate registration and drivers’ briefing as well as to take morning coffee and afternoon tea.
Breakfast baps, (bacon, vegan sausage or egg), are available to pre-order at the time of entering at £6 each, with the restaurant counter open from 9am and available to buy any other food items that may take participants’ fancy.
Entry fees include teas and coffees at the start and cream tea at the finish for two people per car (extra passengers can enjoy the same refreshments for £7 per head).
Whether you own a classic T-Type, an MGB, an MGF, a modern MG or anything in between, join us for a relaxing day’s driving.

Cumbria Classic and Motorsport Show Sunday 23rd August – David Alexander
Dalemain House near Penrith
The event is already in our calendar for 2026 so I have made a provisional entry for 10 cars with the Organisers Wigton MC.
Entry fee for the show is £5.00/car and two occupants and with total Club Car entries limited to 400 cars we should confirm our entry as soon as possible.
The show will attract around 800 cars in total so well worth a visit. All cars need to be at the show by 1000hrs and cannot leave until 1600hrs.
Could members please let me know if they are wanting to be on the MG Car Club Tyne Tees Centre pitch. If anyone has any ideas how to improve our show pitch so we can compete for an award I would be interested to hear any proposal.
Could all those interested in the show please let me know, we only have a few spaces left on the stand and this show will sell out in advance.
