Tyne-Tees Cobweb Run: Sunday 26th April

I am pleased to announce that the MG Car Club Ltd Tyne Tees Centre are organising the Cobweb Run to celebrate Drive it Day on Sunday the 26th April 2026. The run this year will be starting from the East Tanfield station (part of the Tanfield Railway) in their large car park.
The route is 99 miles and heads west from Tanfield out into Weardale before heading north and up towards the Tyne Valley before returning east and finishing at Brockbushes Farm Shop. A lunch halt is scheduled at Allendale, but you may also wish to pack a picnic lunch and take advantage of some of the scenery you will be travelling though and stop for a while
First car will be away at 09.45hrs and crews should aim to arrive at Brockbushes by 15.00hrs. To comply with the Motorsport UK permit the signing on declaration will be on the entry form. The Cobweb Run Trophies will be presented at the finish at Brockbushes Farm Shop.
The entry fee is £35.00 per car where at least one person in the car is an MG Car Club member and £40.00 for non members. This is based on 2 people per car and includes tea / coffee at the start and tea / coffee with cream scone when you reach the finish. Refreshments for extra passengers can be booked at £10.50 per person, please include this with your payment. Bacon, sausage, or bacon and sausage rolls can be pre ordered for the start at a cost of £3.50 for bacon, or sausage and £4.50 for bacon and sausage, please tick the box on the booking form as appropriate.

Entries open on publication of the entry form and will close on Sunday 12th April 2026, joining instructions, entry list and a route gpx file will be sent out on Tuesday 21st April, with route books and rally plates collected at sign on.
