Welcome to the MG Car Club Tyne-Tees Centre

Tyne-Tees Centre supports all MG Car Club members across Northumberland, Durham, Teesside, East Cleveland, the Tees Valley and parts of North Yorkshire.

Tyne-Tees Centre celebrated its Golden Jubilee during 2022, having become a full MGCC Centre in December 1971.

The Centre won the prestigious Nuffield Gold Cup in 1983 and 2009.

We provide a comprehensive and wide-ranging programme of events throughout the year, some with a sporting theme, catering for all MGs from 1924 to the current models. The Calendar of Events and details of upcoming events can be found by clicking on Future Events on the left of this page. Tyne-Tees members are regularly out and about in MG cars from 1932 to current models.

In 2023 we will hold monthly Club Meets or “Natters”, for members across our area, to which all are very welcome. Details of what’s happening can be found by clicking on Club Meet Information  on the left of this page.

We also run monthly Breakfast Meets at a range of interesting venues in the north and the south of the Tyne-Tees region. Details of these are available from the organisers, Noel Lindford & David Alexander...see Centre Contacts

Our monthly email newsletterTyne-Tees Tidings”, sent to all Tyne-Tees members and friends, has full details of all upcoming Events, Natters and Breakfast Meets.

This Centre has a very active Committee whose aim is to enable you to get the very best enjoyment from our events, and of course, driving your MG car!

Our four major road runs, Cobweb Run, Prince Bishops & St. Cuthbert’s Run, Tyne-Tees Old Speckled Hen Run and Autumn Leaves Run, are very popular and attract entries from far and wide.

To help celebrate 100 years of MG cars, Tyne-Tees Centre provided key support to the MG Triumph 100 event at Silverstone in June, running the GP Circuit Parade Laps and the California Cup Autotest. We also supported an MG100 NE celebration  display of MG cars by all the local MG clubs at Beamish Museum in August.

We mount highly attractive MG car displays at major events such as the Historic Vehicle Rally at Newby Hall, near Ripon and Croft Circuit for Croft Nostalgia.

You are guaranteed a warm welcome at all of our Events and Club Meets….we are the Marque of Friendship!
