Honouring Mike Parker
As you know, we lost Mike back in 2024, following a short illness. Mike was instrumental in setting up the local AWC natter and gave much of his time to assisting with the MG Car Club. He was the late co-ordinator of the Midget & Sprite Challenge race series, which he thoroughly enjoyed too. He is sorely missed by Caroline and the family – and all those that knew him. There is a plan to place a memorial bench by the riverside in Abingdon, at the junction of Wilsham Road and Saxton Road. A Gofundme page has been set up to raise the necessary funding. See link below. Visitors to Mike’s bench will be able to sit for a moment in remembrance of our brilliant and dearly missed friend.
Any donations received in excess of the target amount will be donated to the Stroke Association to help with their work.
