History of Car and any work or modifications carried out: The car is totally original and finished in the combination of red/black Interior with round wheel arches, its has covered just 42,000 miles and had six owners from new.
The Midget we are told was ordered new from Keith Motors of Christchurch in 1974 by John Rock, a time served engineer and MG enthusiast who needed a small runabout between sailing trips. The car was sold around 12 months later to a close friend and bought back from her by John approximately 30 years later.
The MG has never been restored, is structurally excellent with no corrosion issues and drives exactly as intended when she left Abingdon in 1974. The engine/gearbox are excellent – John gas flowed the ports and confirmed minimal engine wear when he fitted a new clutch some years ago – and the MG has always been loved with annual servicing when in use. The car has an MOT history back to 1992 when the mileage was 36,225.
The interior is lovely with just the right patina, a large history folder dates back to 1990. The car was supplied to me by Milestone Classics of Sussex, they were quite excellent to deal with. https://www.milestoneclassics.co.uk/
