History of Car and any work or modifications carried out:
In the early 1980s, at the age of 17, I became the proud owner of a bronze yellow 1972 MG Midget—my first car. I bought it for £400 from the secretary at my workplace, taking out a bank loan to afford it. My dad, a mechanic at Washwood Heath bus garage, was instrumental in its restoration. We spent countless weekends respraying, tuning, and retrimming it together, turning it into a charming little car that reflected our hard work and bond. However, in 1986, I reluctantly sold the Midget before heading to university, a decision I regretted deeply. The car haunted my dreams, and I often reminisced about the joy it brought me. I promised myself I’d own another MG Midget when I retired. But after a close friend’s terminal illness diagnosis, I realised life was too short to wait. While searching online, I found a car identical to mine for sale by Barry from S.M.R. After seeing it, I fell in love again. Barry’s knowledge impressed me, and I bought it immediately, feeling that nostalgic joy
