Safety Fast February 1974

AS WE mark the 90th anniversary of MG we once again look back to 1974 when MG and the MG Car Club celebrated 50 years of MG motoring.

The front cover of the February issue of Safety Fast! is a photograph of Keneth Evans at Donington Park in 1933. Inside the magazine, the main article is a feature on Donington Park, after writer Colin Light visited the circuit with a group including Barry Sidery-Smith, who still races MGs today.

There is also an editorial piece written by MG Car Club Chairman John Thornley, mourning the loss of Dick Jacobs’ garage in South Woodford.
