EVERY Autumn the MGB Register hold a lecture in Abingdon for MG Car Club members and the wider public.

Supported by Moss Europe, this year’s lecture, ‘The Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Flight’ is taking place on Friday 10th October at Amey Theatre, Abingdon School. Doors open at 7pm for 7:30 start.

Previous topics covered include the Bloodhound land speed record car and the Peppercorn A1 steam locomotive.

The Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is a national institution dedicated to maintaining ageing aircraft in a modern world – a familiar concept to a classic car owner!

The latest lecture in the MGB Register series welcomes Warrant Office Kevin Ball, Senior Engineering Officer for the RAF BBMF who will describe the history and organisation of the Flight which consist of Spitfires, Hurricane, Lancaster & Dakota aeroplanes focusing on the work carried out to keep these iconic aircraft flying.
