History of Car and any work or modifications carried out: Car was left in Taiwan by an American GI when the forces left the island in 1975. A friend of mine purchased it and resprayed it Red. He used it around town for a few years eventually storing it on blocks in a warehouse for the next 15 years. I heard about the car through another friend and after a bit of pestering he gifted it on to me on condition he could drive it occasionally. I had the body “refreshed” by the local acetylene man and then resprayed it to BRG. I’ve since renewed all the brakes, replaced the SU’s with a Weber, replaced most of the suspension, springs, dampers etc, fitted electronic ignition, seat belts and seats, all instruments and renewed the interior. It is I believe the only road legal example in Taiwan and gets plenty of friendly attention whenever we’re out and about. I may ship it back to the UK when we eventually leave Taiwan but having been here for 30 years or so that may never happen!

Nickname of Car: “Oh bug**r!”
