MG Motor welcome new Fleet Sales manager

18th October 2019

MG Motor UK has welcomed Geraint Isaac to the newly created National Fleet Sales Manager position.

The appointment reinforces the manufacturer’s mid-term growth plan by furthering its presence in the important fleet and local business sales market. The role will see Geraint work with the expanding MG dealer network, as well as major fleet operators, to create packages to serve clients requirements. As part of the new role, he will also be responsible for vehicle remarketing, residual values and co-ordinating MG’s dealer fleet programmes.

With more than 25 years’ industry experience in the automotive and automotive finance sectors, Geraint joins MG from Hyundai Motors UK where he previously worked as Fleet Operations Manager, before becoming National Residual Value and Remarketing Manager. Geraint also boasts experience managing Business to Business Sales and Fleet Aftersales Development at Vauxhall.

Geraint Isaac, National Fleet Sales Manager at MG Motor UK, said: “As the UK’s fastest growing car manufacturer, MG has a great opportunity to reach the business and fleet markets with its exciting range of efficient, spacious and well-equipped vehicles. I am keen to build organic, sustainable growth in our fleet sales, capitalising on the enormous interest we have had in both the all-electric ZS EV and the upcoming All New MG HS C-segment SUV.

“The MG brand has great historical significance and it’s a privilege to join the company at such a key time in its development. I look forward to working with our fantastic dealerships across the country and building relationships with staff and customers alike to support our growth in the fleet environment.”

MG’s current line up consists of the MG3 hatchback, ZS compact SUV and the all-electric ZS EV. The All New MG HS, the brand’s largest SUV, is set to launch later this month. Alongside the growth in the fleet sector, MG is continuing to expand its dealership network, with more than 100 sites now open. The manufacturer is on track to meet its target of 120 operational dealerships by the end of 2020.

Daniel Gregorious, Head of Sales & Marketing at MG Motor UK said: “Developing our fleet and business sales is a key objective for MG, as part of our Momentum & Growth mid-term plan. We’re delighted to welcome Geraint to our team to take the lead on working to achieve this. We’ve got a fantastic range of cars, and with ZS EV and more zero-emissions cars in the pipeline, we can help businesses and fleets to meet their budgetary and environmental targets”.
