THE first winner of the MG and Jewson ‘Grown, designed and built in Britain’ competition collected his prize of a MG6 GT SE DTi-TECH from MG’s Longbridge site in Birmingham this week.

Jewson customers were offered the chance to win one of two MG6s at over 300 stores nationwide simply by spending over £50 on easi-timber at any participating branch during the Building Merchant’s two month long campaign. Customers were also given the chance to win one of 18 Cello 32” HD 3D TVs in the contest.

The high profile marketing campaign by BSW Timber saw their easi-timber brand partner with MG and Cello, each sharing a rich British heritage. Two winners were chosen at random from entries at over 300 participating branches to receive, the top prize of an MG6.

The stylish and affordable MG6, and the marque’s latest offering the MG3, are designed, engineered and assembled in Britain, at MG’s historic home in Longbridge, Birmingham.

The first winner, John Thursfield from London, entered the competition at his local Jewson store in Fulham, and collected his brand new car from Longbridge this week “I can’t believe I won, I am absolutely thrilled. I have always been a huge fan of MGs and I can’t wait to drive my MG6.”

The second Jewson competition winner is due to collect their prize from their nearest MG retailer next month.
