MGLive! is now only a month away and as the countdown continues, the MG Car Club is thrilled to add yet another attraction to the biggest MG event on the planet – the Vintage Mobile Cinema!

Supported by our colleagues at British Motor Heritage, the Vintage Mobile Cinema will bring the theme of Heritage to life across two action-packed days at Silverstone.

The Vintage Mobile Cinema is a unique slice of cinema and automotive history, which combines to give the audience an exciting film viewing experience unavailable anywhere else.

With MGLive! being one of only three official FIVA (Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens) events celebrating World Motor Heritage Year, the cinema has a direct link with this year’s theme – Heritage.

The 22 seat movie theatre is sound treated, fully upholstered and climate controlled, with carefully tiered seating to ensure everyone gets maximum viewing pleasure.

All films are shown on the high definition (HD) digital projection unit, complete with Dolby 7:1 surround sound for the full cinema experience.

The cinema will be showing a selection of MG-related films, including original promotional movies from the 1920s and 1930s, through to films from the 60s and 70s when the MGB and Midget ruled the roads, right up to the most modern incarnations of the marque.

MGLive! Event Manager Lauran Gallacher said: “We’re delighted to have the Vintage Mobile Cinema at MGLive! and very thankful to British Motor Heritage for supporting it. It adds another dimension to the event, and links directly with our heritage theme.”

The Vintage Mobile Cinema is just the latest addition to an incredible weekend that includes trade stands, a lifestyle marquee, Pride of Ownership and Concours, two days of racing on Silverstone’s iconic Historic Grand Prix Circuit, a sprint, the legendary California Cup autotest and much, much, more.
