MG concept to break cover at Beijing Autoshow

12th April 2018

MG is planning to take the wraps off its latest concept, the X-Motion, at this year’s Beijing Motor Show.

It’s thought to be closely related to the Roewe RX8,  and Maxus D90, two cars launched last year.  The MG X-Motion is a large SUV, a product that has been part of MG’s plans since 2017. SUVs continue to represent a growth sector in the industry and this latest concept is a reflection of global customer demands.  The D90 launched in Australia in November and has been well received, claiming a five-star ANCAP rating and praise for its keen pricing and impressive levels of kit.

The teaser images hint at a bold, aggressive front end, continuing the new MG family face as seen on the recently launched ZS, the China-market MG6 and last year’s E-Motion sports coupe concept.

A spokesperson for MG Motor UK, said: “We’re very excited to see the new X-Motion concept car! MG Motor UK is part of a huge global organisation and has access to a number of potential new models. We’ll evaluate each in turn to decide whether they are suitable for the UK market. We do intend to launch new models into other segments of the market in the future.”

The Beijing Motor Show will take place later this month, opening on the 25th April.
