Itinerary

P&O Ferry from the Dover to Calais followed by a gentle drive to Spa in Belgium where European members may join us. In the morning we continue on to Klingenmunster and our first castle visit, Hohenzollern. The next morning we drive to Hohenschwangau, where after we have checked into our hotel we visit Linderhof Palace, the first of three castles in the area.

We stay in Hohenschwangau for two nights enabling us to learn how to pronounce it! From Hohenschwangau we proceed to Trausnitz Castle staying in Landshut for the night, then driving to Nurnberg to visit Imperial Castle of Nurnberg.  The following day we take a short drive to Bayreuth to see the Hermitage, and then finally on to Wurzburg to view our last two castles, Altenburg (Bamberg) and Wurzburg. We then return home via Metz and Arras.
