Vintage Register AGM 2016
There is an amended date for the 2016 AGM. It will be held on the 6th March 2016 one week earlier than previously proposed.
The AGM will again be held at The Shillingford Bridge Hotel, Wallingford. We will meet for coffee at 10.30am, then when all or at least most have arrived at 11.00am the meeting will proceed. There will be reports by the various officers of the club and then elections for the Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer, after that the other members of the committee will be elected. Should you like to join the committee to help run the Register please contact the Secretary Peter Mace for details and a nomination form firstname.lastname@example.org
After the meeting we will have lunch in the hotel restaurant.
Then following the lunch we will have a guest speaker, for 2016 it we have booked Peter Vacher. Peter rescued a derelict Spitfire from India, which turned out to be a Hurricane, restored it and used it. He supplied the fly past at the 2015 Pre-war Prescott. To finish we have tea and cakes, the cakes are provided by the chefs, which usually means members wives, but it would be good to have some male offerings. We like to finish such that we can make the journey home before lighting up time.
Some members take the opportunity to stay the night, either before, after or both to make the trip an enjoyable time away.
We try to make this season opener a friendly social occasion when members and friends can discuss the winter’s work you have managed to complete and what your expectations for 2016 are.
You should get a form with your January Bulletin, which will, if necessary, update times and give you the menu choices, the form should be completed and returned to Peter Mace at the address given.
