The Championship Results page has been updated following Saturday’s round from Goodwood.
The Group 5 K-Midget of John Egan takes over the Championship lead, demoting Paul Drake and his Group 3 BGT to second place. The little Group 1 ZR 105 of Ray Collier completes the podium positions.
Scammonden Dam Hillclimb
The North West Centre have opened entries for their hillclimb at Scammonden Dam, just off the M62 motorway on the Yorkshire/Lancashire border. The meeting takes place on Sunday 26th May. The entry fee is less than £100 and plenty of runs will no doubt be on offer.

Anglesey Sprint (4th and 5th May)
The North West Centre are pleased to announce the opening of entries for their sprint on the Anglesey Circuit in North Wales.
The meeting will consist of two rounds of the Championship. On Saturday, each timed run will consist of two laps of the 1.2 mile National circuit, with Sunday being a blast round the full 2.1 mile International circuit per timed run.
For MGCC members, the entry fee for both days is less than £300!

Championship Coordinator Required
The MG Car Club Speed Championship is looking for a new coordinator from 2024. The coordinator controls all aspects of the Speed Championship. Typical tasks include:
- Applying to MSUK for the ‘Championship Permit’, having submitted our Regulations for their approval
- Contacting and liaising with meeting organisers, to build an appropriate Championship calendar
- Dealing with Championship registrations and handling queries form existing and potential competitors
- Writing the monthly half page report for ‘Safety Fast’
- Helping the North Western Centre with the organisation of the end of season Awards Presentation
You’ll be well supported in the role. Our current Coordinator Paul Goodman will lead during the 2023 season, with the new coordinator shadowing him, whilst slowly handing over responsibility to the new role holder ahead of the 2024 season. Additional support will continue for the preparation and publishing of the Championship results, general admin, technical support and maintenance of the web site.
Please note, the coordinator cannot be a current competitor and must be a member of the MG Car Club.
