The CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS PAGE has been updated following last weekend’s round from Three Sisters.

The Group 3 TC of Dave Morris is still leading the way, from Neil Walmsley’s Group 1 Midget. But Richard Watkinson and his Group 2 BGT move into third place overall.

The Championship’s CALENDAR PAGE has been updated with links to the Regs and Entry Forms for Curborough (03/08), Snetterton (23&24/08) and Eelmoor (05/10).

The MG Car Club Speed Championship is still looking for a new coordinator. The coordinator controls all aspects of the Speed Championship. Typical tasks include:

• Applying to MSUK for the ‘Championship Permit’, having submitted our Regulations for their approval
• Contacting and liaising with meeting organisers, to build an appropriate Championship calendar
• Dealing with Championship registrations and handling queries form existing and potential competitors
• Writing the monthly half page report for ‘Safety Fast’
• Helping the North Western Centre with the organisation of the end of season Awards Presentation

You’ll be well supported in the role. Paul will lead during the remainder of the 2024 season and into 2025, with the new coordinator shadowing him, whilst slowly taking over responsibilities. Helen will continue to prepare and publish the Championship results and I’ll offer admin, technical support and maintenance of the web site.

Please note, the coordinator cannot be a current competitor and must be a member of the MG Car Club.
