The Candy Girls

a '40s and '50s close harmony group

The girls will be co-headlining the Village Green stage all weekend!

After a successful first visit to MGLive! in 2017, we are delighted to welcome back The Candy Girls. Bringing their vintage glamour to the Village Green on Saturday and Sunday, they’ll be performing classics from the 1940s/50s right through to modern chart hits that have been given a retro makeover. Expect to hear songs from the likes of Glen Miller, The Andrews Sisters and Vera Lynn, as well as a vintage twist on music from artists such as Beyoncé and Britney Spears. With authentic costumes, tight choreography and beautiful blended harmonies, you’re sure to be shoo-whopping and bee-bopping along with these retro girls in no time!

The Candy Girls are comprised of professional performers who have been working in the industry for a number of years – their impressive West End and international tour credits include Les Miserable at the Palace Theatre London, Starlight Express at Theater Bochum Germany, Thriller (UK tour), Magic of the Musicals (UK tour), Abba Mania International Tour, Spirit of the Dance (USA tour) and Rat pack Live in Concert (USA and India tour).

As well as being great friends on and off stage, the girls share a love of all things vintage and harmonious! They enjoy a great musical partnership and above all value their wonderful “vocal blend” that is often commented on – this combined with their tight choreography and natural stage personalities really sets them apart from other three-part harmony trios.
