The sun shone, the crowds gathered, there were T Types as far as the eye could see, and even more MGs to see after that. The event was graced by the appearance of a very good replica of the first MG, a Super Sports with Raworth body of 1923 (no original ones are thought to exist) and completely at the opposite end, a production-ready model of the new electric MG Cyberstar sports car. And of course every model in between. There was the original K3 driven by Earl Howe and Hammy Hamilton in the 1933 Mille Miglia, and even Old Number One was brought to the event by the British Motor Museum.
The MG100 Timeline went on and on completely covering the length of the Copse runway. There was a full complement of racing on the Silverstone Grand Prix track, and the Candy Girls were back in full song. There were anniversary parades of MGs in the arena and the California Cup was in full swing.
You can view a snapshot of the event in the video below (the Timeline begins at 8 mins 3 secs into the video), and below that some photographs showing some aspects of what was going on there.
Here are a few photographs showing some aspects of the event. They have been provided by numerous Centres and Registers, so very many thanks to them.
There is also a very full Google Album of photos of the weekend available to view.
