Rain or shine...
What will the weather do ?
Since every forecast is different we'll give a couple of choices to check.
BBC Weather - this one targeted on Norwich, about 20 miles north east of the circuit.
The offical service from the Met Office - targeted on Thetford just to the south-west, the likely source of the weather.
Another classic airfield circuit, the weather can be visible for miles around if you can get a view past the buildings. It will either be blisteringly hot or freezing cold as the wind sweeps in from the east. If it does rain hard there can be a lot of water in the pits particularly at the back of the garages. Local advice is that if you can see the church spire at East Harling it will rain soon - if you can't see it then the rain is falling!
Other Info
For those that have not been before here are a few additional bits of information.
The main paddock is mostly asphalt and there is a small grassy area behind this. Despite all the space it always gets crowded and people find themselves outside the main paddock on the grass beside the access road.
Petrol is available in the paddock but check the opening times.
There is a cafe behind the paddock and usually a couple of small concession stands are situated by the spectator banking overlooking the Russells Chicane.
Scrutineering is at the same end of the paddock as signing on.
Your final instructions from the MGCC that will come with your tickets, read them. Pay attention to the timetable and remember to keep an eye on the time because the meeting will not wait for you.
