Rain or shine...
What will the weather do ?
Since every forecast is different we'll give a couple of choices to check.
BBC Weather - this one targeted on Silverstone Circuit.
The offical service from the Met Office - targeted on Towcester just to the north-east of Silverstone.
The classic airfield circuit, the weather can be visible for miles around if you can get a view past the buildings. It will either be blisteringly hot or freezing cold as the wind sweeps in from the east. If it does rain hard there can be a lot of water in the pits particularly at the back of the garages.
Other Info
For those that have not been before here are a few additional bits of information.
The main paddock is all asphalt and there is an additional concreted area behind this. Despite all the space it always gets crowded and its likely that many of the Saturday competitors will turn up with massive motorhomes on thursday night and stay all weekend.
Petrol is available in the paddock but check the opening times.
There is a cafe between the paddock and the carpark behind, a couple of small concession stands are usually half way along the main paddock at the foot of the pedestrian bridge and there will be others around the site.
Scrutineering is at the opposite end of the paddock to signing on.
Your final instructions from the MGCC that will come with your tickets, read them. Pay attention to the timetable and remember to keep an eye on the time because the meeting will not wait for you.
If you have supporters coming in numbers then the MGCC will undoubtably have a discount ticket offer on the event website.
Remember we all do this for fun.
