The Peter Best Insurance Challenge is the only series that caters for all MGs ranging from T-Types through to Midgets, MGBs, MGCs to MGFs. There are classes for race modified, modified and road going cars.

About the Challenge

Started in the mid eightys as the Phoenix Challenge, the championship has grown beyond its East Anglia birthplace to become the only place where MG's of any type are welcome to race against eachother. Supported for many years by Phoenix Petroleum the change to Total Butler was infact a continuation with our then sponsor, the name change reflecting a corporate rebranding. Now, in what is possibly our twentieth year we are pleased to welcome Peter Best Insurance as sponsors.

Each year the calendar aims to give competitors the chance to race on as many circuits as possible while respecting our origins in East Anglia. Where ever we race the competition to become champion and hold the Phoenix Challenge Trophy will be as intense as ever. Whether you are a competitor or spectator the mix of cars continues to provide excitement and spectical from top to bottom of the grid with no guarentee that a year long race winner will be champion come the close of the season.
