Hi, hopefully we'll speak on Sunday and I can update you on my experience along with the rest of the owners from the 6 Register.

However, I know what you mean about wanting something new and different. After 7 years and >100k miles in my 2002 ZT 160+ V6, I was ready to change especially as the last 20k miles were fraught with numerous problems from cambelt plugs popping off, to ridiculously expensive clutch changes and fuel tank problems and radiator fan issues, and the straw that broke the camel's back was the thermostat. The trouble was the replacement diesel was just so boring...the 6 was a welcome return to decent handling and ride quality, and dare I say it, a better interior than the Japanese wagon.

Yawn!!

I don't buy MG's with my head, just my heart, so sorry, no way to talk me out of this one.

I thought this was an MG forum for people with like minded interest, i.e MGs!?

The like-minded interest doesn't preclude considering the the cons as well as the pros of the marque!

Ironically, despite working at the Club, I haven't actually spent much time in an 6.

However, in the last week or so I've spent long periods in the car both in Uruguay and here in the UK.

Honestly, I think it's an excellent vehicle and a great foundation for MGM UK/SAIC to build from.

Steve, congratulations again!
