16th March: Stannington Natter and Quiz
One of our regular Natter attendees at The Ridley Arms , David Rawlinson, has offered to set a quiz for us to test the grey cells so come along and be tested on general knowldge, current affairs, sport, motor sport and MG matters. It will be a bit of harmless fun and you could win a little something for your prowess. Go on, give it a go. We are trying to stimulate more interest for this Natter and this is another opportunity for you to come along and meet like-minded people, especially if you haven't been before. We meet as usual from 7:30pm in The Ridley Room through the bar.
28th March: Luncheon Run
This is a new feature in our calendar to extend the season beyond the normal ‘light-night’ adventures, being a modest run of 25 – 30 miles following simple instructions designed to get participants from the start to a good eating place. It’s an ideal opportunity to meet friends old and new, and even bring the children along – they aren’t compulsory of course, especially if you don’t have any! The run starts at 11:00 from the car park of The Manor House in West Auckland, where we hold our southern Natter, and will take you over some 35 miles, finishing at a good place to eat from their carvery. if you want more find out more details. We can promise you a good time at modest cost, starting with only £2.00 per car to cover printing costs - but you do stand a chance of winning more than that back from a draw at lunch.
25th April: The Cobweb Run
This is our first major event of the year on the Federation of British Historic Vehicles Clubs' ‘Drive it Day' and will take you some 80 miles+ on a Tulip-style route designed to show off the beauty of our wonderful countryside. It should blow the cobwebs off you and your car and set the scene for the rest of the season.
