Great
news for those already taking advantage of our discounted ticket
offer for the NEC Classic over the 9th-11th November in Birmingham.
You can now gain entry to the MPH Show which runs alongside the
Classic FREE. All you have to do is present your Classic ticket
at the MPH Box Office and fill in a brief form. Note that free
transfers are subject to availability.
Entry to the live action arena at MPH costs an additional £10
and like entry to MPH itself is subject to availability, so it
may be best to try to make your transfer to MPH at less busy times.

| Ton
Maathuis President of the Luxembourg MG Car Club fatally injured
in a tragic road accident |

September 27th was a sad day in the MG world with the tragic loss
of Antonnis "Ton" Maathuis, president of the Luxembourg
MG Car Club in a road traffic accident whilst holidaying in his
MG with friends in Italy. Tons wife, Fredry was injured in the
accident and is recovering in hospital.
Those of us that have met Ton know what a real character and true
MG enthusiast he was, president of the Luxembourg MGCC since 1974
and owning a fleet of MGs. He will be sorely missed but always
remembered. We send our condolences to Ton's wife, wishing her
a full recovery from her injuries and to his family at this time
of their great loss.
Ton's funeral will be held at Merl, Luxembourg on Saturday 6th
October at 14.00 CET.

Fifty
years ago this month, Britains greatest ever speed king,
Stirling Moss, catapulted himself to international fame by shattering
the class F world land speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats
in Utah in a revolutionary, streamlined, MG car, named EX181.

Step of NAC And SAIC Groups Towards Partnership |

is announced officially today that NAC Group, the parent company
of Nanjing Automobile Corporation (UK) Limited(NAC UK) has signed
a letter of intent on cooperation with SAIC Group that will see
the two companies seek for a commercial partnership in the near
future.

As
you can see from the photo, Abingdon is currently suffering from
flooding in some areas. During the night of 22nd - 23rd July,
the River Ock burst its banks and caused road closures blocking
access to Kimber House from the South and West. Further flooding
is expected as the River Thames continues to rise in the town
centre.

Cars Are Delighted To See The Return Of MG To Loughborough |

NAC
MG (UK) is pleased to announce the appointment of Luffield Cars
to the newly-established MG franchise retailer network.
Luffield Cars based in Belton Road,
Loughborough, will have a dedicated showroom offering the new
MG TF 2-seater sportscar at their current premises. The site in
Leicestershire will also offer customers an allocated service
centre, catering for all sales, service, parts and warranty work
for the MG brand and existing MG Rover customers. |

(UK) Recieves Worldwide Interest In New Dealer Network |

In the run-up to the commercial launch
of the new MG TF 2-seater sportscar, NAC MG (UK) has received
an overwhelming response to their request for applications to
become an MG franchised dealer. The high level of enthusiasm has
not only come from retailers within the UK, but also from those
located as far afield as Greece and South Africa. |

Silverstone International - The Biggest MG Event on Earth |

The
Directors and Staff of the MG Car Club would like to thank everyone
who contributed to the successful 57th Silverstone International
event. It simply would not be possible to put on what is the greatest
MG event on earth and the biggest club race meeting in the UK
this year without the commitment and skills of hundreds of volunteers,
so a big THANK YOU to you all.

In
a historic ceremony on the 29th May, the media and VIP contingents
from both the UK and China will witness the return of MG production
to the Longbridge factory, the long-time home of this historic
marque.
Guest of honour was Mr Liang Buo Hua,
Governor of the Jiangsu Province in China where NAC MG is based
and Mike Whitby, leader of Birmingham City Council. Solicitor
General Mike O'Brien, MP visited Longbridge, and personally handed
over a letter of support from Deputy Prime Minister, John Prescott,
on behalf of the British Government. Mr O'Brien met senior officials
from NAC in the UK and China, as well as Mr Liang Buo Hua. |
